Equipping
Building Up the Body of Christ
We equip people to serve the church and lead others spiritually, so that as each person does his or her part, the whole body grows and builds itself up in love (Ephesians 4:1-16). Equipping opportunities include events, classes, and programs, as well as long-term training. Read below to learn more about each of these and see upcoming opportunities.

Events
Events are limited to a day or weekend. They are focused on a specific topic or life stage. For example: a marriage retreat, a forum on the gospel and race, a theological seminar, a mini-conference on small groups.

Apr. 28-29 – Men’s Retreat. A 24-hour getaway. Registration coming soon.
Programs
Programs run anywhere from 12 weeks to a year. They are focused on relational ministry and long-term development. For example: a mentorship program, an emerging leaders group, recovery sponsorship.

Starting Febr. 2023 – Emerging Leaders Group. Registration will open back up soon.
Starting Mar. 2023 – Providence Mentorship Program. Registration will open back up soon.
Every Thursday – Providence Recovery. Weekly meetings and sponsorship opportunities available.
Classes
Classes range from 4-12 weeks. They are focused on theological development and the application of truth to specific areas of life. For example: Theological Foundations, Financial Peace University, Men’s and Women’s Bible studies, book groups.

Training
Training is geared toward qualification and preparation for specific roles in our church. For example: Deacons and Elders, Gospel Community Leaders, PK & Youth Teachers.

Internships & Residencies
Internships and residencies are 1-2 years. They are focused on exploring a call to vocational ministry, gaining practical experience, and/or preparation for a specific role. For example: pastoral intern, youth ministry resident, church-planting resident.
