Ash Wednesday Service

On the Christian calendar, Lent is the forty days beginning on Ash Wednesday and leading up to Easter Sunday. Lent is a season of preparation and repentance during which we anticipate the death (Good Friday) and resurrection (Easter Sunday) of Jesus. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Lenten season. The aim of Ash Wednesday is threefold: to meditate on our mortality, sinfulness, and need for a savior; to renew our commitment to daily repentance in all of life; and to remember with confidence and gratitude that Jesus has conquered sin and death.

It will be a time of reflection, prayer, and responding to God through Scripture. Kids are welcome, but there will not be childcare provided.
