Women’s Spring Bible Study
We will be going through Courtney Doctor’s Steadfast: A Devotional Bible Study on the Book of James.
Faithfulness regardless of our circumstances. That’s what it means to be steadfast. In a world where so much can undermine our faith or pull us off track, steadfastness is often a rare and elusive trait. James longs for his readers to be steadfast. His letter meets us in our suffering and sickness, our trials and temptations, our wealth and poverty, our ups and downs. He confronts our sin, our speech, and our pride. He encourages believers to have a more resilient and concrete faith: not just to hear the word, but to do it. He calls us to persevere in truth in a world of lies, to see that God’s steadfast love is ultimately the source of our steadfast faith.
In a fickle and wayward age, we need biblical wisdom if we are to stay the course and be steadfast saints. The book of James provides this wisdom, and this 8-week study will help us apply it together.
WHEN IS IT?
There are two options this semester:

Day: Every Friday from Feb. 17 – April 7 (minus Spring Break)
Time: 10:00am-11:30am

// GROUP 2 (Wednesdays)
Day: Every Wednesday from March 1 – April 19
Time: 6:30am-8:00am

WILL THERE BE CHILDCARE?
For the Friday group, yes. For Wednesday, no.
COST?
It will be $20 to help cover the price of the materials. $5 extra per kid for childcare. Let us know if you have any questions or need help with costs.
WILL THERE BE HOMEWORK?
Yes, but not too much. Part of the purpose of this group is to help us read God’s word more consistently. So there will be some study required each week, but it will be very doable in terms of time commitment.
